
Peace in Nature Photo Contest Rules & Guidelines
The Peace in Nature Photo Contest celebrates the harmony and tranquility found in the natural world. This contest welcomes entries from around the world, amateur photographers, and professional photographers, encouraging both artistic excellence and broad participation.
Theme
"Peace in Nature"
Photographs should capture moments of serenity, beauty, and harmony in nature. This may include landscapes, wildlife, plants, or natural patterns that evoke a sense of calm and inspire reflection. Abstract or AI-generated images are not permitted. Images should highlight respect for and appreciation of nature.
Entry Rules / Instructions
- Submissions are open from September 22, 2025 at 12:00am EST to October 20, 2025 at 12:00am EST.
- There is a $10 entry fee per photo. Participants may submit up to 5 photos.
- Voting is open to the public at $5 per vote, with a minimum $10 donation (2 votes).
- Funds raised will support local and global humanitarian and educational projects led by Holland Noon Rotary, Holland After Hours Rotary, and Lakeshore United Rotaract Clubs.
- Entries must be submitted in JPEG format, max 4MB, sRGB color space, no watermarks or borders.
- High-resolution files (13 MP or larger) must be available for printing if selected.
- Photos must be original works of the photographer; AI-generated content is not allowed.
- Images containing recognizable people are not allowed.
- When submitting your photo include: Your photo’s title, your name, your email address, and your zip code.
Display & Judging
Selected images will be featured on GiveGrove.com, an online platform for public viewing and voting. A judge will select the Judge’s Choice Award winner based on creativity, composition, and adherence to the theme. Public votes will determine the People’s Choice Awards. Photos may take 24 hours to be approved and available for public display and voting. There will be a link to share your photo.
Prizes
- 1st Place Judge’s Choice: $1,000
- 1st Place People's Choice: $1,000
- 2nd Place People's Choice: $500
- 3rd People’s Choice: $250
Proceeds & Rotary Impact
This photo contest is a program of the Holland Rotary Charities, a registered 501(c) (3) organization. Voting donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donations of $100.00 or more may request a tax receipt. All proceeds from entry fees and voting donations will support Rotary humanitarian and educational projects. Funds raised have historically gone toward local youth leadership training, Rotary Youth Service projects, polio eradication, farming and water ventures for Native communities, the international youth exchange program, and projects in Africa and Central America.
Rights & Usage
Photographers retain all rights to their work. Winners will authorize Holland Rotary Charities to print an 11x14 photo to be used in the Silent Auction at the February 21, 2026, Great Rotary InterNational Cookoff event. Acknowledgment will be provided for all work. Unsold prints may be used to support future fundraising.

By participating, entrants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. It is void where prohibited.
